Jason Moss
Art is my sanctuary, my healer, and my truth. It is a means of unfiltered expression, a mirror to my soul, reflecting both the shadows and the light. Through art, I find the courage to be honest and transparent, devoid of judgment or reservation. Each piece I create is a testament to who I am at that moment, a blend of my past struggles, present triumphs, and future aspirations. Art allows me to move forward and look back simultaneously, transforming personal healing into a collective experience.
My journey as an artist is deeply intertwined with my battles against addiction and mental illness. Through the lens of my creative endeavors, I explore themes of failure and redemption, depicted through bold colors and vibrant, erotic textures. I utilize repurposed and deconstructed materials in my paintings, sculptures, and wearable art, metaphorically repurposing my trauma and growth into a visual narrative of healing and transformation. Each stroke, each piece, tells a story of survival and resurgence, turning chaos into beauty and pain into power.
As the co-founder of the Reading Artist’s Collective, author of “That Damn Cookbook,” former host of “That Damn Cooking Show,” and creator of The Indigo Experience, I am committed to nourishing the consciousness of the soul through art. My work is not just a display of passion and personal growth, but a spiritual journey that invites others to see beauty in the everyday chaos. My art is a transformative force, not just for myself but i hope for anyone that engages with it.
I create because I must. It is not a choice but a necessity—a way to breathe, to live, and to heal. Art is nourishment for the soul, and through it, I aim to inspire others to find their own path to healing and self-discovery. My work is an ongoing dialogue with the world, a continuous process of exploring and sharing the depths of human experience.

Disruption of the Perceived Normal
This piece is about the moment when illusion cracks—when something raw, real, and unavoidable cuts through the surface. That red isn’t just color. It’s memory. It’s protest. It’s truth breaking through the silence.

The line between hope and surrender
This piece lives in that fragile space where we’re not sure if we’re holding on or letting go. The colors, the textures, the marks — they all speak to that quiet tug-of-war between resilience and release. Sometimes the line isn’t straight. Sometimes it’s barely visible. But it’s there — felt more than seen.

Architecture of Unrest
Architecture of Unrest is a visual excavation of systems on the verge of collapse. Through layered abstraction, I construct and deconstruct a fractured landscape of containment, resistance, and transformation. Vertical and diagonal elements suggest scaffolding, surveillance towers, or redacted grids—marking both physical and psychological borders. Soft fields of desaturated greens and violets collide with assertive strokes of crimson and ochre, symbolizing emotional rupture and political urgency. I employ mark-making that resembles architectural drafts, protest diagrams, and mapping systems—all destabilized through gesture, erasure, and rupture. The result is a piece that pulses with quiet rebellion: a map of unrest that refuses resolution
