Artists should
Be familiar and aligned with our mission and focus
Inclusivity, equality, amplifying marginalized voices
Creating empathy and human connection through art
Be active in the artistic community
Supporting other artists and events shows an ability to promote a potential endeavor through us.
An established network of people who would be excited to patronize your events.
Be able to promote and sell your work through social media and personal interaction
Have an established social media presence that you use effectively to promote your work, or alternately, a history of promoting your work through more traditional means.
Your art should:
Be non-traditional , contemporary, and/or avant-garde style.
Have some meaning or purpose that you can articulate to potential collectors
Be presented in a quality befitting a gallery setting.
No sawtooth hangers, cheap plastic frames, damaged or broken work
Safe to hang if meant to be hung.
Utilize the gallery as more than just a set of walls
Your exhibit proposal should include:
A general description of your work
Some visual examples of the work you would be including
A theme for the show
A vision for a holistic use of the gallery space to create an immersive experience for attendees.
A concise recent history of where your work has shown.
