Red Tent

My art is an act of witnessing. I make space literally and spiritually for the bodies of womxn and nonbinary people: bodies that exist, that bleed, that take up room. As a Kohenet, a Hebrew Priestess, I weave ancient Jewish wisdom into contemporary form: red tents that honor the menstrual body, mixed media figures that hold the sacred feminine. Our presence, our flesh, our cycles are not shameful edges of culture. They are the source. This is the radical act of making something beautiful out of what we were told to hide. Making it is the prayer and the protest.
