Jessica Reitmeyer

Jessica Reitmeyer is a 51yo queer, femme, fat, poly glass artist who makes art on the land of the Lenape. She has been a furnace glass working artist for 11 years and a flame working artist for 3. As a mother, partner and activist, Jessica finds creation to be her number one coping skill and vehicle to communicate her feelings about politics and the state of this dumpster fire of a world.

Pop Queer

During 2020 I lost access to my communities like most of the World did due to COVID. In January of 2021, after barely leaving the house and having to package away my queer/kinky identities and trade them in to be my kids school teachers, Mom and doctor, my partner and I decided we were going to make local trips to niche motels, dress up and do photo shoots. It was a way to stay connected to the adult parts of me that weren’t being fed and kept us united as a couple. This is one of the many photos we took from January 2021 to May 2022. I was so grateful to fully be myself in these captured moments. Unapologetic, sexual and mostly importantly, QUEER.

Leather Pride

As an active member of the leather/kink community for the last 30 years, it is important to me at a Pride show, that there is representation. The leather community has helped me truly love myself for who I am, proclivities and all.

Queer Universe

As a queer Femme I am trying to rewrite the narrative of the cock and pull it away from toxic masculinity and bring it closer to queer pleasure. One often forgets that self love is the most important, and by wielding the glowing universe inside this piece, I feel it is wholly possible to achieve not only queer joy, but ecstasy. Not as a part of any one person but an extension of me loving myself and all the queers in my world. Not an appendage but a tool for love and intimacy beyond factory install genitalia. Not just a cock but functional art.
