I have always been interested in any art in any form. At the age of seven, my father, an artist and teacher, handed me my first 35mm camera. In the last 12 years, I have had a few solo shows and enter many juried art shows. I also create 3-D artwork in mixed media, using nature: dried flowers, seeds, bark, branches, fabric, and clays. Continuing my learning and my love for the arts, by belonging to many local art associations, having received many awards in their juried shows. I capture my images with an iPhone; it is the camera I always carry.

Don't Stop the Colors: The World is not Black and White

This piece shows that the world doesn't exist just in " black & white" - one solid color.  We are able to pull and break through, release and expose the colors that exist in this world.  The world is a beautiful place and that we should all exist in harmony.

Try Me

This artwork uses metal to show the form of a person with an arm raises to show protesting.  In the hand the sign of 'Try Me", because I will stand up to negativity.  In using metal shows strength in humankind and that we will speak up and resist.

Nothing Can Stop Me

I feel that ropes or chains should not hold you back.  You should be able to break through.  The piece of wood that has an eye symbolizes: all of us inclusive.  The spike represents that we are trapped in one place, but we can find a way to resist.  The chain and rope that has wrapped around us are restraints, but we can break them and overcome.
