Headed Into Year Two: Anno Artem Featured in The Mercury

Published: January 4, 2026
Location: Pottstown, PA

On December 29, 2025, The Mercury’s, Evan Brandt, profiled Anno Artem as we step into our second year—celebrating a scrappy, community-forward experiment that found its rhythm and’ its people.

The feature underscores what our neighbors already know: art belongs in the center of town. Over our first twelve months, we staged eleven exhibitions —welcoming collectors, first-time gallery-goers, and the art-curious who simply wanted a place to look, think, and talk together.

Why this matters

  • Local journalism sees you. Being highlighted by The Mercury affirms that contemporary art has a real home in Pottstown—and that our city cares about culture as part of everyday life.

  • Community momentum is real. The story was amplified by regional outlets and partners, widening the circle and inviting new visitors to discover the gallery.

What you can expect in Year Two

We’re doubling down on what worked—and pushing further:

  • Exhibitions that ask better questions. Expect bold thematic shows and intimate spotlights that invite dialogue, not just display.

  • Hands-on entry points. From sketch sessions to maker pop-ups, we’ll keep lowering barriers so anyone can step into the creative process.

  • Artist visibility. We’ll continue championing the practices of our represented artists and guest collaborators, making space for risk, rigor, and surprise.
